I always look at your photos, even though I rarely comment. But I particularly love this one, especially given its title. Often I think that 28 mph is much too slow to get anything done, but your photo makes me reflect that sometimes even that slower pace is not yet slow enough. Love from Indiana.
A 28 mph wind gets all kinds of things done! But I do agree with you that slow can be better than the popular language we use to idolize fast: efficient, effective, and “get it done on time.” Time for reflection feeds creativity, innovation, and most importantly – our souls. Thank you for your comment.
Like Elizabeth, I enjoy looking at your photos, but rarely comment. But I had to tell you that this one brought to mind a quote from artist and storyteller, Brian Andreas:
“Everything changed the day she figured out there was exactly enough time for the important things in her life.”
Thank you, Laurie. I like this quote very much. It is an accurate reflection of my experience in the last several years. I am glad you enjoy the photos.
