Jan Richardson wrote this blessing in Illuminated 2014: A Map in the Dark. From it came my art journal page: a portal with a path emerging into the unknown. May it invite and bless you too.
BLESSING
When the mystery.
When the shadows.
When the questions.
When the unknown.
May we find what stills us.
May we find what rests us.
May we find the courage to enter
the cave of the heart.
May we light a candle
to the mystery.
May it become in us
a pathway.
May it become in us
a passage.
May it become in us
a map
by which we know
this step
and this step
and this.

What a beautiful poem, Kathleen. It is worth putting up in one’s home, to read again and again and again. I’m so glad you shared it here.
I’m glad you connected with Jan Richardson’s, poem, Kathryn. Her poems and essays have challenged and comforted me. You can find more of them at http://http://paintedprayerbook.com. Praying a blessing you for this day and the path ahead. Kathleen
