“X The light has gone out of my life.”
Today these words written by Theodore Roosevelt on the day that his wife and mother passed away resonate deeply with me. Kathleen, the love of my life and my soul mate, passed from this life this morning. She was surrounded by people who loved her, and whom she loved.
While ovarian cancer was a significant part of the last three and a half years of our lives, Kathleen never let it consume her. She did not see it as a battle. Instead, she lived her life with intention, love, continued learning, growing, and caring for everyone she encountered.
She will be deeply missed and always loved.
